In conversation, what happens when you shift from judgmental statements like, “You are doing that wrong” to being curious and asking genuine questions like, “Can you tell me more about the way your are doing this?”
Learning to be curious and leaving the need to “be right” behind, gives you the opportunity to understand more and to invite others to be “in relationship” with you.
Sometimes these conversations happen on teams, in couples, or even within ourselves. Our first challenge is to handle our own domain and shift what we are doing within ourselves. Manage that and bring it out into the world.
With practice you’ll quickly see a shift within yourself as your brain actually builds new bridges. Practicing curiosity shifts how you show up — brings honor and respect to yourself, to your relationships, and to your team members. Be genuine, be curious. Be open.
